The only people that find Luongo's job in doubt are sports journalists in Vancouver. Go cry wolf somewhere else.

The question really is... is Luongo tradeable? 6.7mil lasting for how many more years for a playoff choking goalie?? We aren't going to get much back I am afraid...

This is one of the most unprofessional, petty articles I have ever read. One minutes you claim we somehow accidentally won the presidents trophy, and then follow that up by claiming that we lost game 3 ,quote, "on a sheet of crappy ice barely playable after the changeover from a Lakers game". REALLY???? The other 29 NHL teams do not have to explain themselves for not winning the Presidents Trophy, only we do for "backing into it accidentally". And even though we finished 82 games (like everyone else) with the most points in the league, no we're losing because of poor ice???? Are you kidding me??? Mr. Cole "poor ice" was the excuse I read Viktor Tikhonov give in the Hockey News in 1987 after the Soviets lost the Canada Cup. I have not read that excuse again... till just now.

Losing is fun for no one, but we are proud Canadiens and are above that sillyness. And of course we can not have an "Armaggedon Canuck Article" without mentioning "Roberto Luongo's Absurd Lifetime Contract". How original! Yet in the same article I read that we also should have traded Schnieder by now? It always comes back to Luongo doesn't it? Funny how all have forgotten the days of Glen Hanlon, Troy Gamble, Corey Hirsch, Bob Mason, Felix Potvin and so many others that CLEARLY took us to the promise land in the past. Yes, I agree, isn't it obvous that Roberto Luongo has long been our albatross? I mean after all, what has he done besides be a regular all star (our first since King Richard) , he has won two Presidents Trophies as our #1 (no other Canuck goalie has done that either) and then their was the little thing about winning a gold medal in our building. Yes I see your frustration with him, after all, we were all angry when he replaced Dan Cloutier wern't we??? 18 Canuck goalies came and went since Kirk McLean and all we ever do is complain about Luongo! Anyone remember the "Goalie Graveyard"??? Finalist Vezina Trophy, Hart Memorial Trophy Finalist and several 50, 60, 70 save playoff games. Yet still we haven't closed the del, and it all falls on Luongo's shoulders. Very sad.

I am from Detroit and the Canucks remind me of the Red Wings in the early 1990s, when they won the President's Cup year after year only to get eliminated in the first or second round of the playoffs.

Yezerman was on those dissappointing Wings playoff teams, but something was missing. It wasn't until the Wings obtained Brendan Shanahan that they started winning Stanley Cups. He was the missing ingredient, providing a toughness and leadership that had been misssing. The Canucks need a Brendan Shanahan, and they don't have one.
