VANCOUVER - A storybook finish may be the start of something good for Andrew Ebbett.
The Canuck winger could not have scripted his return after nearly a three-month absence any better Saturday night when he scored the overtime winner.
Ebbett tipped home a Sami Salo shot from the right faceoff dot at 3:58 of OT to give the Canucks a 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames.
"I was just happy to be out there and get a couple of extra shifts there, especially with (Ryan) Kesler in the third period," Ebbett said. "It kind of gave me confidence and it was a lot of fun tonight.
"Sami had his head up and it wasn't his hardest shot, but it was in the right spot and I just put my stick there and just got a lucky bounce."
In limited action due to an early-season foot injury and then a broken collarbone, Ebbett has only managed to play 15 games this season. But...
